Aluminium is an exceptional material, it can be fully recycled without loss of quality. In addition, 75% of all aluminium ever produced is still in use. Existing production processes of new (primary) aluminium are naturally energy-intensive, whereas recycling aluminium costs only 10% of the energy required to produce new aluminium.
